During flight from San Francisco on Wednesday night, 55-year-old boxing legend Mike Tyson repeatedly punched the head of a belligerent passenger bothering him.

The video itself from TMZ shows a guy getting pummeled by Mike Tyson from over his passenger seat on the plane. You can hear a "hey, hey, hey Mike, come on, stop that," from someone urging the boxer to calm down.

San Francisco police responded to the incident and detained two people. One passenger sustained not life-threatening injuries, and "provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation."

Initially the interaction between the two men and Mike was friendly. They got a standard meet-and-greet along with getting their picture taken with him. But things soured as sources close to Tyson say the man he punched was "extremely intoxicated," and a separate video posted by TMZ shows the guy repeatedly badgering the star.

Mike Tyson asked the man to simmer down but he did not. That’s what led to the altercation.

"Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat," a representative for Mike Tyson told the Daily Mail.

A photographer who saw Mike Tyson before his flight said he was peaceful in the airport, agreeing to take a snapshot with him as well, while celebrating 4/20 with a joint.

"He seemed overall happy. He obviously was smoking, was having a good time and seemed to be in a really good mood," Josh Edelson told the outlet.

Following the airplane incident, TMZ says Mike Tyson is scheduled to make an appearance at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference Afterparty to give a speech.

Back in March, the former heavyweight champion remained calm after a man pulled out a gun at a Los Angeles comedy show. Tyson managed to de-escalate the situation which involved a guy that had initially challenged Mike to a fight. The two ended up hugging it out.
